Dap Collars release phereomones that calm dogs suffering from separation anxiety disorder, astraphobia (fear of thunder and lightning), fear of fireworks, or those with excessive barking problems. The chemical is a synthetic analogue of a hormone produced by nursing canine mothers that is seen as ‘promoting calm and secure behaviour and in establishing a bond with the mother.
I was desperate to find help for my 15 month old rescued siberian husky’s separation anxiety. She was still struggling with being alone after many, many months of working with her using gradual separation techniques. I read mixed reviews about DAP’s effectiveness, but decided to give it a shot anyway. I certainly did not expect miracles and actually fully anticipated it would have little effect on her behavior.
Within 2 weeks of putting it on her, I had increased the amount of time she could spend alone from 30 minutes to over 4 hours using gradual separation techniques and the DAP collar. This was remarkable! Not only is she calm while I am gone, she is no longer displaying overly-excited behaviors when I return.
I am very pleased with the effectiveness of this collar and would recommend it. It is important to remember that you still must work with your dog on separation issues. The collar does not ‘fix” the problem. It is a tool for use during the behavior modification period that will help the dog calm itself more effectively.
Thundershirts are based on the Tellingtouch Therapy process, which is gentle pressure massage that calms nervous animals ranging from horses to dogs, and even children. Provides the same kind of gentle, constant pressure that T-Touch does, and has a dramatic calming effect on most dogs if they are anxious, fearful or over-excited. Thundershirts are like giving your dog a big hug, with the right kind of therapeutic pressure that can keep them calm.
I rescued a miniature daschund who is the sweetest most loveable pet I’ve owned. She came with a terrible anxiety issue of chasing her tail obsessively. We tried medication, training and other remedies for over a year. My husband came upon the thundershirt through Amazon.com. It was amazing how it helped my dog. She now delivers it to us in the morning when she gets up. I strongly recommend this product to curb anxiety in your pet.
Music can soothe the savage beast¿including your dog! Millions of dog guardians have grappled with behavior problems caused by their dog¿s anxiety¿ from fits of barking when their beagle is left home alone to the nervous whimpering of their dachshund during a thunderstorm. Now, psychoacoustic expert Joshua Leeds joins concert pianist Lisa Spector and veterinary neurologist Dr. Susan Wagner to create Through a Dog¿s Ear: Music to Calm Your Canine Companion; the first CD in a new series of music clinically proven to calm canine listeners.
I love this CD! And so do my dogs! Wow, its so great. Very relaxing music, so I can enjoy listening to it too. Within 20 minutes of putting this in, all three dogs – even the hyper puppy – are laying down and chilling (: And believe me that is a rare moment in a house with 3 dogs. What a great tool for problems like separation anxiety too. I can’t wait till they come out with more!

(Sorry Sparky, lots of folks say this works!)
Stops dogs at the very moment they start baking, Its comforting effect allows dogs to adapt easily and quietly to their environment while providing peace of mind for their owners. The MultiVet Anti-Bark Spray Collar is a safe and humane way to train your dog to stop nuisance barking.
Each time he barks, the collar releases a harmless citronella spray right in front of his snout. The dog becomes distracted by the sight, smell, sound, and sensation of the spray, and stops barking. He learns to expect the spray, and will instinctively quit excessive barking to avoid it. Use the Anti-Bark Spray Collar in conjunction with dog training to permanently break your pet of his barking habit. It’s a painless and scientifically proven method recommended by leading animal experts. It’s completely safe for all dogs and puppies, and leaves no pain, fear, or side effects. Approved and endorsed by the SPCA. Includes an adjustable collar, battery, spray device, citronella spray refill, and training manual.
I bought one to test it out because I was skeptical that it would work on my schnauzer and the price was a little higher than other citronella collars. My dogs will bark at anything and everything, so much so my neighbors complain. I put it on one of the dogs and the first time he barked it stopped him in his tracks. It makes a loud spray and the noise combined with the squirt startles the dog and he forgets why he was barking in the first place. He had it on for less than one day and gave up on trying to bark at things. After seeing the results I bought a second one for my other dog. Now it’s nothing but peace and quiet, they still make noise but it is so quiet you can barely hear it.
